Mastery is a 2D platform game made by Tunacat Studio. The game world combines fantasy components of Taoism and the customs of ancient China. The game tells a story of self-discovery as the main character, Yan Ching, masters the five Chi elements during his sacred pilgrimage of mountainous ascension.

I started the project in April 2017 as
Producer and Lead Designer in the team. Later on I also took over the role of
2D animator.
In 2018, Mastery won
the third place
in
New York State Game Dev Challenge. We also went on exhibiting it a lot and received a bunch of feedbacks. Currently Mastery is still in development.

Mastery was my first project working with a group of people. It was a very meaningful project for me as it witnesses a lot of "first time" of my life. Although there's been quarrels and sad moments in the development, I still want to say that I'm so thankful for the experience I earned, and all the trust and patience I got from my wonderful teammates.
